Heres to the great Billy Joel. I believe he is winding down his concert career---however, if you ever get to see him perform by all means buy a ticket. The man is a great performer and puts on a fantastic show. One of the greats in American music---the great Billy Joel.

This video is marked sony 1985 as you note. Actually I believe Piano Man is even before 1973 as you note---I believe more like 1970.Billy has had some squabbles with record labels in the past so who knows if this video was produced in 1970 or 1985? Billy is now 61 or 62 so if this is a 1985 video he is 39 on this video------could be. Anyway you cut it this man is an icon----an institution----one of the all time greats.

aww i'm sorry for your loss CaptinNoface, when my grandmother was dieing my grandpa would always sing to her, he sang her a lot of billy joel songs. that's how i grew to love billy's music. i remember this was one of the last songs he sang to her, and she just closed her eyes and smiled and we all knew she was happy listening to his voice and no one elses. she past a week later but we all still remember that evening where you could see the joy on her face, anyways i lvoe this song (:
