| I have nothing against softball but this clip is ridiculous. 1.) A softball has a greater mass than a baseball and the closer distance would decrease the time thus increasing acceleration, both of which would cause a greater force. 2.) Force does not determine the difficulty of hitting, velocity does. 3.) Softball has a greater diameter. 4.) The batter was used to baseball, why not a woman batter against a male pitcher? 5.) Softball batters still use gravity just don't lower their arms as much |

| This was pretty dumb. Like comparing apples to oranges. Why use a baseball player to hit both the baseball and the softball??? Of course he's going to have an easier time hitting a baseball than a softball -- that's what he's trained to hit. A valid comparison would have involved a baseball player and a softball player of comparable skill trying to hit a baseball and softball, respectively. I'll also point out that the first segment was irrelevant. Velocity is what matters, not force. |

| Try hitting a 95-100 mph fastball and see how hard you think it is. I have tried to hit softballs when I played in high school. While I will admit it takes a bit to get used to it, I think baseball is harder. Plus, you are used to a big ball coming at you. Trying throwing a baseball and see how small it feels. Then try hitting it. |

| Actually, there is also single A ball, rookie A ball, and a couple of other A- class affiliates as well for most teams. I looked up Byrne, and he is not even listed in the top 20 prospects for the Diamondbacks. His grade is a C overall, and he currently plays in Double A ball. Not the best player to have try to hit Jenny Finch. That would be like having a decent comm. coll. softball player try to hit a major league pitcher. MLB's best hitter should be trying to hit the best softball pitcher |

| I bet it's a lot easier to hit a home run in softball (over that 250 foot fence than a 400 foot home run). I have played both- have you tried playing baseball against high school pitchers, let alone minor league or major league pitchers? I am guessing no. Until you actually play baseball and see how hard it is, quite talking trash about it. |
